Made from extremely durable PVC fabric, this lightweight water scoop is designed for easy handling. The strap on the scoop's body allows for a secure, stabilising grip while in use. For convenience, it can be clipped to the saddle during trail rides. The lastest version of the scoop, which was released at the 2025 Tasmanian Tom Quilty, includes a marine grade stainless steel clip for attachment to the saddle and velco tabs which allow the scoop to be folded and rolled into a small roll if required to ensure it doesn't flop around on the saddle. How to use
Simply slip your hand around the outside of the scoop and under the strap to stabilise it while scooping water from a trough or bucket. When not in use, clip it onto your saddle for quick access. Ideal for strapping your horse out on trail or with water during long rides or when out on the trail.

I recently attended a ride which was forecast to be 31 degrees. Attached the scoop to the saddle and it came in handy. The scoop allowed me to pour a decent amount of water over my horse at checkpoints and it was easy enough for check point volunteers to pass me a scoop of water when I didn't feel like getting off. It was very un-obtrusive on the saddle as well!
